Simple Joys of Life #4
Ah, one of the simple joys of life: hiking in the woods, over streams, in view of the lake, past the wood ducks, traipsing along the trail as the sunlight filters through the trees.
It doesn’t get any better than that.
Today, unfortunately, was not one of those days.

The Norwegians say “There’s no bad weather, just bad clothes.”
And all that rain keeps the forest lush and green…
Besides, you don’t have to mow moss, and it’s green all year around.

Mainly my hair got wet, so my clothes must have been okay. Maybe it’s because I’m Dutch, not Norwegian.
Dutch might also be the fact that I’m still using the same work-out clothes I’ve had for a long time. Why change if they’re still in good shape? It’s me that’s not in good shape!
I guess all that rain also keeps a hiker moving quickly along, thereby burning more calories and working more muscles, right?
I WANT SUN.
