I wrote the song “I Am Broken” in February of 2018 to deal with a heartbreak in my past. Read about the pain that sparked this song here.
In July of 2020, I took a short break from gardening to speak with a producer who has worked with Keith-freaking-Urban and several members of the show “Nashville.” He said he would love to do my project, so I made plans to fly to Tennessee.
On August 8, 2020, I had a fun little texting conversation with the producer in Nashville:

Just saw it. So excited for you. Ha ha, I don’t mind one bit. You’ve got Keith Urban, Sam Hunt, Paramore, Thomas Rhett, and Maren Morris to pick from for credits. Ha ha.

One of my fans asked if I was going to meet Keith Urban. I told her I would faint for sure and drool all over myself.
