Pre-Chemotherapy Frenzy
Just when I thought life couldn’t get any crazier, it did.
For the few days leading up to my next Adriamycin/Cytoxan chemotherapy treatment (tomorrow), I find I start running around in a frenzy trying to catch up mundane things like laundry and toilet-cleaning. At least I only have one toilet to clean because the other one got ripped out this week. Yep, our old health hazard, I mean bathroom, is being gutted.
Tonight, on top of all the normal frenetic activities, I decided to trademark my book title (the one on cancer, not The Lighthouse) on the advice of an agent. I thought I better get it done before “chemo brain” sets in again.
I read over the “United States Patent and Trademark Office” website about sixteen times–not exactly light reading–and finally managed to file an application online. It only took me about three hours and may or may not have been done properly.
How in the world will I be able to acquire a trademark when I can’t even put my underwear on straight?!
Marie, My prayer for today: I pray Lord Jesus that today’s treatment goes better than any other. Please let Marie have no side effects or very little this time around. Keep her mind clear and her stomache settled. Amen
Hope the trademark goes through! :)

How is that bathroom gutting going? That just sounds like a lot of work! Good luck with the trademark stuff. I’m sure that’s highly complicated. And I like that you posted at 11:11 last night. I’ve always liked that particular minute of the day!
you’ll get the trademark mom!
