My Body Ain’t Even Cold Yet
I was lying in bed grunting and groaning this morning (because I quit the Vicodin and Ibuprofen cold turkey yesterday) when my daughter came into the bedroom asking me if “I needed help getting out of bed.” What she really wanted was to commandeer some of my scarves.
Sure, I’ve been weaning myself off the hats and scarves lately in addition to the drugs since I mostly stay home on the couch most days anyway… but really? Oh well, at least they’re getting put to good use. One of these days, I’ll be able to have actual hair instead of grey fuzz and we’ll both be zipping around in a car (without scarves) enjoying the summer sun like in this picture.
Marie, it’s all a process gal. There seems like an endless amount of bumps in the road, but it does get better and the road will smooth out for you and your loved ones. Hang in there, Carol
Hey, somebody’s gotta get some use out of those scarves now that you’re not wearing them so much. Maybe Jonathan and Michael will wear some too. I can see Michael really pulling off one of those long ones that hangs halfway down your back… maybe the pink one.
