My Best Comment Yet

I really do need to get a life. I should be doing dishes, cleaning a toilet, or rototilling a garden somewhere… instead, I just wrote my best return comment yet.

While I was dreaming about all the vacations I wanted to take in the next 5 years [One Year & Counting], Abel commented that “he and his wife would supply the chips if my husband and I supplied the ships,” so, of course, off I went:

You can bring the chips,
And we’ll supply the ships.
The soda can stay at home
As across the ocean, we roam:
Jamaica and the Caribbean…
All kinds of places we’ll be seein’.
Wouldn’t that be a blast?
Hope you know how to handle a mast.
When are we leaving?
They’ll be no seasickness or heaving!
Just lots of good times
With coconut and limes;
Rum would be better than soda
We wouldn’t need to have a quota.
So, see you real soon.
We’ll sail beneath the sun and the moon
Stopping by exotic ports of the world.
While our masts are taken down and unfurled.
We’ll all get tans and bleached-out hair
Hopefully, no pirates will be our snare.
Just good times, celebrating life with friends.
