It’s Hard To Be A Woman #4
My parents and I are going to try and turn a doctor appointment into a fun day. First, I will have my Taxol chemotherapy treatment, then, we’ll go to Lynden to buy the traditional Dutch “banket” and Taai Taai for the family. I need to buy some shampoo somewhere along the line because we’re almost out (why should I keep an eye on the shampoo? I don’t have any hair) and get Graham crackers for my son’s favorite dessert…
As I was applying my eyebrows this morning, I thought, “Crap. Maybe I better take this eyebrow pencil along. It’s going to be a long day.” I should explain: Whenever I wear the new hat from Ross—my choice for today—I find myself scratching my forehead and sometimes my eyebrows disappear.
Then again, I’ve never been the type to have a comb on me or take my mascara along for a “touch-up” out in public; why should the eyebrows be any different? I’ll just try to be careful and not rub them off today.
Man, it’s hard to be a woman.
Hope you have a good time today..well, minus the doctor’s appointment. Hope you can enjoy the holidays. Card and picture are in the mail for you.
