A Humorous Look at the Bright Side of Cancer... and There Is One

September 15, 2013

That’s Not Something You Read Every Day #6

TreeI know I need to get out more, but I find I’ve been entertained easily by the dumbest things lately. Maybe because I’m still happy to be alive in spite of cancer and all that.
I get comments on my blog every now and then and most of them are from real, everyday people; some, I know, some, I don’t, but the ones I don’t know become fast friends because of this common thing we share: cancer.
In addition to these wonderful comments from friends, there is the spam that I receive and need to weed through.
There was the “person” that told me, “This article made me become shiny.”
I couldn’t help but think to myself, And how, exactly, did you do that?
Another so-called-person wrote, “After reading this article, I inspired a lot. I will follow your blog. I wish everyone like me herebring in happy, reap moved.” (sic)
First of all, I like to use fancy words, but I don’t think herebring is a word. And you’re using horrible grammar. Here I was, getting my undies in a bunch over a silly computer-generated post. Like I said, I need to get out more.
Then, there’s the “person” that told me, “Your article is like a big tree, so that we can squat in your tree.”
Yeah, I don’t know you, but one thing’s for sure: you’re not squatting in my tree.
