A Humorous Look at the Bright Side of Cancer... and There Is One

March 14, 2013

That’s Not Something You Read Every Day #4

Apparently, not everyone has the same sick sense of humor I do. On my “Cancer Is A Funny Thing” Facebook page, a gentleman told me, “u should go to hell die and go liv on the strrets and I think everyone hopes u get cancer u ifsgjnbjngrsnb.” (sic)

Now, my first reaction was to just delete it. I did that last time I had a bunch of people from the United Kingdom ganging up on me and sending me all kinds of flack.

My second reaction was to start defending myself and addressing all of his issues one by one… something along these lines:

Dear Sir,

First of all, you’re a bit out of sequential order there. I wouldn’t be able to go to hell, then die, and then go live on the streets. I’m not that talented. Second of all, I plan on residing in heaven when my day comes.

As for everyone hoping I get cancer? Hm, “everyone” is a pretty strong word. If you read over my posts at all, you’d know that I had cancer. Stage III breast cancer to be exact. So, if I’m being honest, I already went through hell but managed to come through to the other side by fighting cancer with humor.

I’m not sure what a “ifsgjnbjngrsnb” is, but I’ll try to stop being one.

Sincerely,

A Chick Who’s Been There
