Seeing the Surgeon
I have an appointment today to see the surgeon that performed my mastectomy. I haven’t seen Dr. Williamson for over a year. If he says “high-risk” like the last two doctors, I’m liable to bolt from the room and go shopping. For ice cream. Lots of it…

And if you do make sure you go to Coldstone. I will come join you there. We could get all kinds of flavors with oreos, and heath bars, and gummi bears mixed in. I was very moved with your bravery meeting you at the writer’s conference. I wanted to email you directly but only had your blog address. I have to admit… I’m a Haggen-Dazs girl (and don’t like Cold Stone Creamery). I have been told I’m nuts for not liking that brand; too rich for me.
