My College Class

Three weeks ago, I got a phone call from the creative writing teacher at the college begging me to join her class. (I took it back in the fall of 2008 right before my cancer diagnosis.)

I said “yes” and have been meeting at the senior center with… um… a bunch of senior citizens. Never thought I’d feel like the spring chicken of the group at age 45. Don’t get me wrong. I like older people. They’re friendly and wise.

Homework? Not so much.
