Breast Reconstruction – Take 44
I’ve noticed something strange since my breast reconstruction surgery. I feel like doing anything and everything as if I’m afraid life is going to be passing by. Sure, I was kind of doing that anyway, what with a poor cancer diagnosis at the age of 42. But, since that surgery, I sort of feel like a new woman.
Yesterday, this was my to-do list:
1. Put on abdominal binder really tight.
2. Meet George & Susie at the boat launch.
3. Get into boat.
4. Catch the first humpy.
5. Freak out at all the orcas around us.
6. Take pictures of all the orcas.
7. Take humpy and silver home.
8. Have husband, Ken, gut the fish.
9. Barbeque the fish.
10. Eat the fish.
11. Take off abdominal binder.
12. Rub sore abdominal muscles used in catching fish.
13. Go to bed.
Hey! This is so awesome! I love the fishing pole in the forefront of the pic…gives it the perspective of just how close you are to the pod. WOW! I bet that dinner tasted d-e-licious! Vern
Vern, The pod was so close to the boat, I was freaking out just a little bit: “George, have whales ever knocked a boat over?!!!”
That salmon was pretty yummy.
Gutting the fish? Not so yummy.
