Black Friday
It amazes me how in this country, one minute people are “thankful for this and thankful for that…” and the very next day, they are going to town at an ungodly hour because apparently, they weren’t really that thankful after all.
Me? I’m thankful that I’m still alive. I kinda thought I’d be dead by now.
Preach it, sister. One of the things I’m most thankful for at Thanksgiving is time to spend with my family, and to sleep in.
Abel,
Sleeping in is good anytime, isn’t it? Just the fact that we have beds and don’t have to sleep under a bridge is a good thing.
When the kids were young (and maybe even a bit older), we’d always pray, “Thank You, God, for our fireplace and our warm beds.”
Doesn’t get much better than that.
