A Humorous Look at the Bright Side of Cancer... and There Is One

December 7, 2009

Marble-Checking

My five goals for December (to keep my marbles in check) are:

1. Convince my liver to behave enough so that I can get my last three Taxol chemotherapy treatments on the 10th, 17th, and 23rd.

2. End the “cancer book” on December 31 so that I can think about getting it sold to help pay for medical costs.

3. Find a new nighttime hobby for when I’m hyped up on steroids: guess I could start with editing the above.

4. Don’t resort to eggnog to drown out any upcoming separation anxiety I might have toward my right breast; I’m going to have enough weight to lose when this is all over, darn those steroids.

5. Debate about whether or not to have a belated (by 3 years) 40th birthday/pre-surgery party in January, with or without eggnog.

  1. Yes! Let’s party! We can celebrate my 39th birthday as well (since that is the only birthday I am going to be celebrating for the next 20 years or so….). I vote for margaritas over eggnog.

  2. Good to see you today! Your looking good. I vote to have the party. Any excuse is good, just have fun!
