Still Looking For A Bulldozer
I’ve blogged in the past about our little problem here with too much rain. I never thought I’d see the day where I’d be mad because I can’t do my laundry at home in my own washing machine.
This year, I decided to add a whole new dimension of “fun” to my life. I thought I’d quit using Tide for a while and attempt to make my own laundry soap. You may remember Sally from Washington Federal talking me into this ridiculous endeavor.
So, now, not only do I have to take the time to grate some soap, mix it all together in my expensive VitaMix, wash out my VitaMix thoroughly (putting more water down the drain chancing it ending up on my bathroom floor), pack up the 7-8 loads of laundry that I need to do into the car, go to the creepy Laundromat, I have to somehow be happy about it.
I’m smiling in this picture because I was commanded to, but some not very nice words came out of those very same lips minutes before the picture was taken.
Not three or four posts ago, I was talking about how thankful I was to still be alive after being diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. So, now, I guess I should quit complaining about having to go to town to do my laundry and threatening to bulldoze my own house: I have clothes on my back and a house to live in.
That’s a good attitude to have! Way to work on a challenging project!
Anonymous,
I wasn’t sure if you were joking or not; you’re usually so sarcastic.
I try to have a good attitude once in a while.
