New Year’s Day 2012
Woke up coughing, ate breakfast, took a big long nap, continued coughing. Not what I had in mind for New Year’s Day. Playing Farkel and Phase 10 was a bit more on the list of things to do today.
In my prior days (“before cancer” as they say), I would have shaken the whole cold off as no big deal. Irritating, but a time to catch up on much-needed sleep.
Now that I’ve crossed the line to “after cancer,” I’m getting a little paranoid: “Hope this isn’t really a recurrence – they say coughing isn’t good – and I make it to New Year’s Day 2013.”
