Chemo Hair
I woke up to dogs barking and had had enough. Our dog, Lexie, and her boyfriend, Tex, from down the road, barked at each other on opposite sides of the fence most of the night. Just how long are dogs in heat anyway?
I rolled out of bed, threw on some sweats, and yelled at my youngest to help me get Tex in the back of our Honda to bring him home. Halfway to Tex’s house, I caught a glimpse of myself in the rear view mirror. “Hey, Jonathan, I look like a Q-Tip.”
He looked at me like I was nuts. Until he saw my hair. And laughed.
The texture of my hair has changed so much since it was fried by chemo that it sticks straight up, fuzzy-like, unless I put Joico Spiker Water-Resistant Styling Glue (along with water) in my hair to get it under control.
Now, if I can just get these dogs under control…
