Celebrating Family

Back on April 3, 2012, I posted a blog titled “Three Years & Counting” wherein I recounted my happiness in still being alive three years after being diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. I also wrote that I hoped in April, 2013, I would be able to hike “along the beach in Kihei.” I never thought when I penned those words that they would actually come to pass.

I should write down my goals more often.

It is April, 2013. I am, indeed, in Kihei with Ken and the kids. Not only can I be thankful for these past four years that I thought were out of reach for me, I can celebrate being with my family on one of the most beautiful places on earth.
