Breast Reconstruction – Take 55

VolleyballI was playing volleyball last night and the ball hit me really hard in the… well, um… in the right “boob.” I put that word in quotation marks because it’s not real. It looks real and feels real to the outside touch (husband’s a happy camper), but it’s not.

It might not have been obvious to the casual observer that I got hit in this so-called boob except for the fact that I couldn’t keep my mouth shut (big surprise) and blurted out, “Wow, I didn’t even feel that.”

Not everyone at volleyball knows that I had breast reconstruction done, so a few people looked at me like, “What the heck is that chick talking about?” Cody, the referee, however, knew and I thought he was going to fall off his perch on top of the standard overlooking the court because he was laughing so hard.

Oh, it’s hard to be a woman.
