A Humorous Look at the Bright Side of Cancer... and There Is One

Breast Reconstruction – Take 47

At my last appointment with the plastic surgeon–a month ago already–I complained to him that my abdominal scar was healing crookedly (my stomach looks bigger on the right side).

He replied, “We can fix that.”

Easy for him to say. He’s already going to have to fix the left sagging boob down the road someday which in the whole scheme of things doesn’t seem like such a big deal. I mean, heck, I’m still alive two years after my Stage III breast cancer diagnosis. Am I really going to worry about a crooked stomach?

I’m just a little worried that I may be turning into a surgery junkie.

Still, that abdomen worries me a bit. Bad abdomen.
