A Humorous Look at the Bright Side of Cancer... and There Is One

The Kindness of Others

On Monday, President’s Day, my daughter’s friends came and weeded for several hours while I sat on the couch knitting. I felt extremely guilty.

Also, the strange bruises beneath where my eyebrows used to be? I think those are my eyebrows trying to come back. They just seem to be lower than where they used to be. Great. Mutant eyebrows.

I’ll have to console myself by admiring my awesome-looking flowerbeds before my eyebrows interfere with my vision.

  1. Hurray for beautiful teenage girls! Looks like they had a good time grubbing in your dirt. Hurray for eyebrows! (I’m sure they’re growing UP…) Boo on feeling guilty–these are your good deeds coming back to roost, so enjoy it!

  2. You’ve got some good kids, and they’ve got some good friends. That’s really cool. And don’t you feel one bit guilty for knitting while they weed. If you’d tried to do anything else, you know that would have forcibly sat you back down in your chair! Enjoy this beautiful weather (from your chair) and bask in the love of your family and friends!
