Simple Joys of Life #5
I’ve noticed that since I’ve gone through the hell of breast cancer and all that it entails–chemotherapy and wondering when the axe is going to fall (recurrence of cancer)–I’ve really taken note of the small things in life.
It is no secret to my family that I adore going out to “dinner and a movie.” Last Friday night, I made my daughter, Adriana; her friend, Michaela; and my husband, Ken go to the movie, The Impossible. I cried as much the second time I saw this movie as I did the first time. The rest of them kept saying that they didn’t cry, but I think they’re all lying.
I got a little emotional seeing Warm Bodies, but I suppose a RomZomCom isn’t for everyone. (Romantic Zombie Comedy, in case you were wondering.) It’s really good, though.
Abel,
At first I was thinking, “What the heck is he talking about warm bodies for?” but you’re referring to a movie. Duh.
Yeah, you won’t catch me watching a RomZomCom. I must confess, I still haven’t read any Harry Potter books or “The Hunger Games” or the “Twilight” series. Heck, I still haven’t seen all the “Star Wars” movies yet. I like true stories, what can I say? Heck, I am one. Ha ha.
