Letter #4 To My Benefactor

Mount Baker, Washington

Dear Benefactor,

My son, Michael, and I drove up to Mount Baker today to spend the day together. I wore my Keen hiking boots because they’re so comfortable and so I wouldn’t fall flat on my face in the snow.

I kicked around the idea of hiking up the mountain but wasn’t sure if that was allowed or not. With my luck, I’d start an avalanche. I ended up working on my laptop all day on a music composition that I’ve been working on.

I’m getting closer to hiking, somewhere, I promise.

I just celebrated my birthday, so hopefully, I’m older and wiser now and understand the importance of being in shape. Still wish you could come with me sometime…

Sincerely,

Marie
