Letter #2 To My Benefactor

Dear Benefactor,
I went hiking with my naturopath, Haley, for an hour and a half in the rain today. I could have gone to Avenue Bread instead. The Keen boots you bought for me kept my feet warm and dry. Me likey.
My hair (even with a hat) got soaked. Me not likey.
Ken (my husband) and I talked about possibly moving to sunny San Diego. Me likey a whole bunch.

Glad you got a good hike in today–a little rain doesn’t stop us Wahingtonians from getting out in the woods. On the other hand, I can’t say I approve of you even thinking about turning in your Washingtonian card for residence in the Evil Empire.

Evil Empire?! I was born in California and I like visiting… tread lightly there, mister.
I don’t think I could ever seriously leave here. However, I think I could easily be a snow bird and live in Oceanside or San Diego all winter.
