Letter #16 To My Benefactor

Dear Benefactor,

First you don’t hear from me for over a year and now you are getting two letters right in a row.

Not only did I go hiking in Maui, I went hiking in British Columbia. I might be stretching the meaning of the word “hike” but I don’t care.

I forgot my Keens at home so I was forced to go to The Bay and buy a pair of Sperry tennis shoes. Let me tell you, they are not the same. Those shoes are meant for running to the store for Haagen-Dazs rocky road ice cream, oops, I mean romaine lettuce but that is it. (My sugar sponsor may be reading this… actually, I know she will read this. She’s read through my WHOLE BLOG. I hope you have been reading my letters to you, but I digress….) Sperry shoes are not meant for hiking miles and miles and miles through Butchart Gardens. That is the last time I forget my Keens at home.
