Letter #35 To My Benefactor
Dear Benefactor,
I think you will be so proud of me. I went hiking for seven days in a row. Yes, you read that correctly… seven.
According to my Fitbit, I:
August 24
Walked 10,128 steps, burned 852 calories, and had an average heart rate of 104 bpm.
August 25
Walked 10,646 steps, burned 954 calories, and had an average heart rate of 110 bpm.
August 26
Walked 10,710 steps, burned 995 calories, and had an average heart rate of 118 bpm.
August 27
Walked 2,225 steps, burned 208 calories, and had an average heart rate of 85 bpm.
August 28
Walked 10,782 steps, burned 815 calories, and had an average heart rate of 89 bpm.
August 29
Walked 10,726 steps, burned 901 calories, and had an average heart rate of 111 bpm.
August 30
Walked 8,914 steps, burned 735 calories, and had an average heart rate of 109 bpm.
If hiking like this doesn’t a) whip my body into shape, b) build up my stamina, c) get my blood sugar under control, and d) prevent me from getting a recurrence of cancer, nothing will.
You will be glad to know that I did not go home from these hikes and eat loads of Nestlé Drumsticks like after that one hike I told you about. I was a good girl.
Sincerely,
Marie
