Letter #27 To My Benefactor

Dear Benefactor,

I was just wondering if you think I’d ever be brave enough to hike into mountains like those behind our heads in this photo, possibly even stay at least one night.

I’ve told you about my various fears:

1. Bears
2. Cougars
3. Pooping in the woods

I’ve made it through cancer and sexual abuse; you’d think I’d be a little braver than I am. Baby steps, oh great benefactor, baby steps….
