28 Days
There’s a movie with Sandra Bullock called 28 Days in which she tries to kick her alcohol habit in that time frame. I have not had sugar for 28 days and plan on breaking that streak on Thanksgiving Day since no one has stepped up to be my sugar sponsor.
I must choose from the following 10 items:
1. Carrot cake (homemade with flaxseed flour and cream cheese frosting)
2. Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Chip Mint ice cream
3. Milk Duds
4. Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Swiss Almond ice cream
5. Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Covered Caramels
6. Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream
7. Hot Tamales
8. Haagen-Dazs Rocky Road ice cream
9. Rhubarb Crisp (homemade) with Haagen-Dazs Vanilla ice cream
10. All of the above (I would need CPR to get me out of a diabetic coma)
Ice cream is not sugar–it’s dairy, which provides important nutrients like calcium and protein. And anything homemade is healthy, right? Don’t forget that dark chocolate has all those healthy antioxidants. Just cross those Milk Duds and Hot Tamales off your list, and…
Voila! Guilt free Thanksgiving!
Debbie,
I feel so much better now. Guilt-free would be nice. Hopefully, I’ll be able to stick to one day and not fall totally off the wagon.
