What Next?
It all started with my left ear.
It had been a long, busy day for me. I was proud of the two flowerbeds I’d rototilled, the five bushes I’d transplanted, and the edging I had done. It might not sound like much, but for me, it was a huge accomplishment.
It was now time to relax. The family and I settled down to watch some television. My left ear began to itch. Hm, I must have been bitten by a bug today while I was out working in the yard. Twenty minutes later, my ear had swelled up and looked like it was going to pop. The next morning, my other ear did the same thing and I started to get hives on my arms and legs. The next morning—which would actually be this morning—my face was on fire and my ears were still puffy.
I put moisturizer all over my face (as instructed by the clinical trial nurse at my last chemotherapy treatment), so now, not only was my face swollen and red, it was all shiny. My poor piano students kept looking at me today like, “Where’s my piano teacher and what have you done with her?”
When I kept bragging about our newly-remodeled bathroom being like a spa, this is not quite what I had in mind.
Sorry to hear your reaction got worse. I couldn’t tell at all at church. That yardwork you did does indeed sound like a lot to me! I got tired just reading about it. I hope it’s getting better today!
Wow you got alot done in the yard girl. I am proud of you. You will have to tell me about your bathroom and what you did. I would love to come and see it.
Sorry to here that you had such a bad reaction is it from the Taxol? Yuck, I hope you are feeling better today. Thinking of you, Kaaran
