Letter #22 To My Benefactor

Hiking Poles

Dear Benefactor,

I haven’t written to you for over a month. I hope you’re still speaking to me after my yucky news. I guess I wouldn’t know because I still haven’t figured out who you are.

The physical therapist told me that I need to get hiking poles (for my lymphedema) at my last appointment all the way back in January. I finally went and got them like a good girl in February. Then again, if I was a really good girl, I’d take them out of the package and actually use them before March is out.

When my friend, Susie, and I finally found these hiking poles at Sports Authority, they were in the camping section. Maybe someday I will be able to camp in the woods if I can get over my fear of… well, ahem… pooping in the woods.

For now, I will simply concentrate on getting back into hiking. I’ve just been distracted by trying desperately to get my life back on track.

Sincerely,

Marie
