Dear Fran Drescher #20
Dear Fran,
I know I just wrote you three days ago. I’m trying to kill time before this stupid CT scan tomorrow morning at 9:00.
Here are some of the things I’ve been doing to keep myself preoccupied since my disappointing appointment with the oncologist last Wednesday:
- Friday: “Eddie the Eagle” movie and dinner at Red Robin with Ken, Michael (and girlfriend, Miranda), and Jonathan.
- Saturday: Pizza and Euchre (my favorite card game) at Bill and Lucy’s house.
- Sunday: Church in the morning and a concert at night.
- Yesterday: Visit to Uncle Sid and Aunt Alice with my cousin Linda followed by a night of volleyball-playing (yippee!).
- This morning: Trip to Billy’s Café with Jonathan for crepes.
As you can see, I’ve been a busy girl. It was either all of the above or get snockered by noon every day.
Then, this morning, it was back to reality. I called Mt. Baker Imaging to make sure that my CT scan is pre-approved. It was. I’m not sure why it matters, though, because I have a high deductible and I will end up paying for the ($1300) fee out of pocket anyway. I kick myself now that I did not keep this little coughing problem to myself at my oncology appointment. I would much rather go to Maui again with Ken using this $1300 and frolic in the sun.
Best friends always,
Marie
