A Humorous Look at the Bright Side of Cancer... and There Is One

April 8, 2012

Forging Friendships

04_06_2012_cancer_funny_friendshipsIt’s strange. When a person is diagnosed with cancer, he/she seems to gravitate toward others in the same boat. I’ve found that to be true for myself anyway.

Allen was told that he had three to five months to live. It’s been six and a half years.

I, for one, am happy that he is still around. He and his wife, Rose, are good friends of ours. Does having cancer in common make us closer than we would have been otherwise? Probably; tragedy has a way of doing that. But, you don’t hear me complaining.

  1. Thanks, Abel.

I finally responded to all your other comments. What can I say? I’m slow on the uptake this week.

Actually, I’ve been outside working in the yard.
