Dear Fran Drescher #18

Dear Fran,

I told you I would be in a better mood the next time I wrote you.

It was my birthday on January 9 and I made an extra effort to get out of my funk and celebrate another year added to my life.

Last Wednesday, my best friend Tami took me out for my special day. We went to Anthony’s (my favorite restaurant) for dinner. The chef—his name was Sean—gave me the recipe for his Beurre blanc. I was beside myself with joy. Afterward, we saw the movie Point Break.

I don’t know about you, but birthdays seem a bit more special once you’ve been handed a death sentence, don’t you think?

Here’s to a lot more years for both of us in good health, eh?
